What could possibly have gone wrong...

The console is buzzing, heating up, displaying overheating errors...

Of course, we are talking about the need to clean the console. Excessive dust and dirt buildup not only creates unpleasant noise but also affects the lifespan of individual components, especially the HDD drives, which do not cope well with high temperatures.

Another side effect is frequent stuttering, especially during more demanding games.

In environments where dust is 'at home', it is recommended to clean the console at least once a year.

The TV isn't displaying any image, or it shows 'no signal'...

This issue has a simple answer: 'Your TV is not receiving any signal from your console'.

This phenomenon is most commonly accompanied by mechanical damage to the HDMI connector or a short-circuited HDMI chip located just behind the HDMI port.

  1. Visually inspect the HDMI connector - if you see any bends, misaligned, or missing pins inside, it's clear - it's time for a replacement.

  2. You can also gently push/bend the HDMI cable in the connector up or down and hold it in that position for a few seconds. If the image appears in one position or the other, it could indicate internal damage to the HDMI connector pins on the motherboard.

  3. If there is no visible damage and the connector looks perfectly fine, the suspicion falls on the HDMI chip, known as the HDMI IC Retimer.

  4. If your console shows an image but it is accompanied by 'strange colours' or artefacts (various coloured pixels), in the best case scenario, this will be resolved with a simple HDMI chip replacement. In the worst case, there could be a more serious problem that will also need to be diagnosed.

The console is slow, but it doesn’t whirr or overheat

In some cases, there is a phenomenon where the console, although working quietly, begins to function slowly. In worse cases, you may struggle to even access the main menu or launch certain games after powering on.

Yes, disk damage sounds like a likely answer. If you are unable to resolve such an issue or wish to speed up your older console with a new SSD (which can boost the console's speed by approximately 50%), feel free to contact us.

The console won't turn on at all

A storm has passed over you, there have been frequent power outages, or simply it's the time when your console just can't take it anymore ... ?

Repairing or replacing the damaged power supply can give your gear a second life. Of course, with this type of fault, it may not only be a faulty power supply, even though it may seem that way. Behind the problem where the console refuses to turn on, and we know the power supply is fine, there is often an issue with the motherboard itself and with one of the chips controlling the power-on function. In this regard, more in-depth diagnostics and measurements of the board itself are required.

My drive doesn't want to accept game discs

Another interesting error hiding the secrets of non-functional drives. Although the issue appears to be a problem with the drive itself, it is often found on the motherboard.

How much does the repair cost? Check the price list according to your device model.

My game drive takes it in, but has problems with reading them

Here we are talking with about 90% certainty that we have a damaged drive itself.

Repairing it, or ultimately replacing it, will help with this problem.

I can't use the USB ports on the console :/

....If they are damaged, we can replace them.

....If they are not damaged, then we are dealing with a serious fault directly on the motherboard. Such a fault obviously needs to be diagnosed to find out which chip is not responding...

Help! My controller has gone crazy and is controlling my game instead of me...

As you probably already know, or have perhaps heard, we are talking about what is known as drift, or a damaged analogue stick.

All controllers use small components -> potentiometers, which unfortunately often wear out and get damaged over time and with intensive gaming.

Fortunately, we can quickly and effectively fix this simple problem. And of course, we can also address other issues with buttons or charging controllers.
